eSIM availability may vary by country or region. Some devices originally sold in mainland China and certain other markets may have different SIM configurations. Verify that Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data contains “Add eSIM.”

Before you buy

Confirm the device has an EID and can add a downloadable eSIM before purchasing a plan. That’s the surest sign it accepts one.

CheckSettings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM
